I have used Adobe audition to adjust the volume levels of audio clips. The software was used to trim and extend the various clips, the selected clips tool was used to remove parts of the audio not required. Similar to Adobe Premiere there is a razor tool , i used this to split the audio clips removing any sound effects and parts of music from the soundtrack that were not required. The final aspect of the editing within Adobe Audition was toning town the gain and db levels. I toned the volume down because the corresponding audio on the timeline could then be heard simultaneously without one over the other. Also the volume could be toned down to a suitable sound level for the audience.
A vital tool used in Audacity was the Time Shift Tool. This allowed me to change the position of the tracks on the timeline. It is a very simple tool which allowed me to drag clips into different positions on the audio clip timeline. It also allowed me to allow two of the tracks together. The final tool i used was the drawing tool which was highly important. This allowed me to draw the waveforms onto the audio clip which gave me full control over the gain levels of the audio.

Post 11 - Creating a Title
I created a title via; Title > New Title. The text used is Chiller, this is the text font i used throughout the project on the CD Label and the DVD Cover inlay. As the the main theme is action and zombies filled the text in red representing blood. The text was then placed on the top of the Content Warning image with size 230, with the PlayStation 2 text on the bottom in white with size 80. I used the roll effect to roll the text whilst the video plays. The title was created from then i placed it in Video slot 2 over the content warning clip which allowed both of the images to run together.
Post 10 - Audio Editing
Many of the clips only had the audio extracted due to the nature of the music in the background of them originally. An example of this would be the background music from the extracted Gog trailer was high pitched choir whereas the rest of the clips had battlefield sound effects. Therefore only the video was extracted from the original clip, audio sound effects were downloaded and pasted to correspond with the video. At stages multiple audio clips are used simultaneously, for example from 14seconds - 24seconds there is the flood sound effect to display the water flowing which is over the machine gun sound effects. I have pasted into audio 2 from 9seconds to the end The Island Of Kings music as it is inspirational and goes well with the theme of the trailer. The music will be adjusted to correspond with the sound effects and clip music throughout the trailer.
Post 9 - Selection/Select Tool
The selection tool is the arrow icon in adobe premiere. This tool was used to move the positions of the clips in the edited timeline. This was used when there was a lack of clips placed on the timeline as other clips could not be effected.
The track selection was used less in comparison to the various other tools in Adobe Premiere pro. I used this tool to select all the clips onwards from a selected point of the timeline. I used this to select all the tracks from a certain point and was able to edit them on the timeline instantaneously. This was effective as multiple clips could be replaced and adjusted together therefore not disrupting the flow of the trailer.

Post 8 - Rolling Edit Tool
The rolling edit was used to edit the clip without affecting the rest of the timeline. I used the tool to cut down the clip which consequently made the next clip on the timeline longer. Similarly the tool can be used to the opposite effect as was for the shorter clips in between the lengthier clips. Unlike the ripple edit tool the rolling edit tool allows the user of the program to change the end point of clips whilst ensuring the various other clips on the timeline are not affected.
Post 7 - Pen Tool

I used this tool at a later point in the creation of the trailer to delete and add key frames. This was an effective tool in working with key frames because i was able to add animations and effect such as scale/motion and basic 3d at particular points of the clip. I also used it to increase and decrease the pace of clips.
Post 6 - Slip Edit
The slip edit tool was used to adjust the clips in and out points, this tool was used at times instead of the slide tool as both in and out points were automatically adjusted simultaneously. Similar to the Ripple Edit the duration of the clip remained the same and therefore this tool was used after the clip had been adjusted on the timeline.

Post 5 - Rate Stretch Tool
The rate stretch tool was highly effective tool for my trailer. As the the game is an action shooter i wanted to make the trailer fast paced. Many of the original clips used were too slow for use and at the original speed they would have disrupted the flow and atmosphere the trailer intended to create. Therefore i sued the rate stretch tool to cut down the length of clips and play the same content in a shortened time frame. This tool was also used to increase the clip length, not just for the speed of the clip but also to give greater time to better quality clips that presented a more interesting game.
This is the tool i used mist often in comparison to the other tools in premiere pro CS6. The tool allowed be to increase and decrease the amount of time certain clips played for. This was more effective than the tools such as the ripple edit because the speed was automatically adjusted accordingly to the change in time played. For example i have lengthened the "God of War" clip because i wanted to create a dramatic effect and with the audio of the clip, the pace change has worked beneficially for the overall trailer as it gives a more action paced trailer with the movement of pace form clip to clip. I have used this tool for the "splinter cell" clip however this time to shorten the time it plays to create a juxtaposing effect and to allow the clip to focus on the fast combat engagement.

Post 4 - Ripple Edit
The ripple edit was used to move the selected edit point of the clip, unlike the Slide tool the rest of the timeline was effected by the edit instead of just the surrounding clips. The ripple edit allows elimination of spaces between the clips. The tool can also be used to trim the clops and extend the length they play slowing or speeding up clips and audio which is highly beneficial. I used this tool as it effectively changes the atmosphere of the clip but more importantly allows the media to be editing to fit within the allotted time limit. I changed the length of the background music "Island of Kings" using this tool so the music would start after the heartbeat and end within the time frame as i did not want to cut the music because the highly dramatic fishing to the audio track would be lost and therefore no sense of finish or climax would be present in the trailer.
Post 3 - Slide Edit
The slide tool was useful and required to edit the clips in the game trailer. This tool allows the position of the selected clip to be adjusted on the time line. The length of the original clip is not affected, however the clips on either side of the timeline will be increased or decreased. Therefore the negativity of this tool was the clips around the edited were disrupted as the fluidity was removed due to change in the speed. When using this tool i also had to edit the length of the surrounding clips to ensure the trailer was smooth. I therefore did not us this tool that often as continually it disrupted the clips surrounding however it was required and necessary as i had to ensure that the clips were ordered correctly to create a coherent overall trailer.

Post 2 - Content Used
I have selected some appropriate game trailers. All the trailers are animated which keeps the fluidity of the trailer and portrays the fact that it is not a movie but a PlayStation game. I have selected to use the Shadow Gun Trailer for android, Gears of War, Splinter Cell and The Last of Us. I have downloaded various audio clips that will be used with selected clips which are vital to the atmosphere of the trailer. I have also created images in Photoshop to create the end of trailer screen. I also used various images from associated games from the same themes, the gears of war trailer displays the below character who is therefore also used on the Amaray Inlay, similar to the "The Last Of Us" character.
Post 1 - Trailer Idea and Overview
The final piece of work for this module is creating a movie/game trailer, this will be created using Adobe Premier Pro. At every stage of this module a new blog will be posted explaining what has been used in creating various pieces of work and also why it has been used. I shall mainly be focusing on the various tools being used in Premiere as they will be essential in the construction and finishing of the trailer.
"The Last of Zombies" trailer will be created using Adobe Premier Pro CS6. Various action packed clips from many different games will be used to create the game trailer such as COD and GoW. The reason i am using such clips is because they are of the same genre and are also high resolution video therefore giving a high definition professional finish. Original audio will be replaced in some clips to add sound effect and change the atmosphere from the original video and ensure the sound for certain clips is appropriate to the video that is being displayed.
Other software such as Photoshop, Audit and Audacity will be used to ensure any images in the trailer are edited properly and given a high quality finish and audio levels are apparent to the necessary requirements. Once the basic trailer has been created and time permitting additional effects will be added to improve the quality of the piece of work.
