Post 15 - Review

The minimum requirements for the assignment require import of clips and images. I have used original trailers and cut out clips to complete this as well as creating a finishing image for the trailer in Adobe Photoshop. I have used the tools in Premiere Pro CS6 such as ripple edit and trimming tools to ensure the correct clips are used, the various tools are on separate posts. Also i have used the transition effects to fade in out images. I have used the inbuilt feature to created the The Last Of Zombies trailer title. To finish i have used the exportation details, Format: H.264 and Preset: HD 1080p 29.97. These are to export the image at the highest detail without distorting the image and i also changed the audio rate to 192 to provide the highest quality without distorting quality and also improving lower quality sound clips. To pass beyond the minimum requirements i have used also various audio software and added effects and animations to the trailer.

Next Time:

In the future i would cut the clips with more precision ensuring the audio was selected from the correct points to ensure the sound clips are in perfect sync. Also i would like to perform further research on sound clips to use on the timeline to have a wider range of suitable sound clips that can change the atmosphere of the trailer.
Also i would add further effects and animations to create a more impressive trailer and change rhythm of the trailer. This would then help create a start and end for the trailer.

Post 14 - Motion Scale and Audio Effect

I have used the effect controls window to edit the motion of certain clips and images that are in the timeline. This effect displays the image/video clip larger then the original or smaller but i have used it to create a zoom in effect. Scaling is highly effective as it is similar to a transitional effect it improves the finishing of a trailer.

In a previous post i have blogged the audio editing that took place in Adobe Audition and audacity software. The work done with those software was very basic volume level changing. In adobe premiere i decided to use audio transitions.

On the background music "Island of Kings" and "God of War" audio i used the chorus effect. I used this effect because i wanted the sound to be rich and clear but most importantly for the God of War to create a bold effect. The God Of War audio is edited to be portrayed as a dominant character. This tool was key in enhancing the vocal track.

On some clips there was some unclear background noises. I used the spectral noise reduction tool to eliminate buzzes and fades out any audio separation sounds.

Post 13 - Razor tool and Blur

The razor tool was highly effective in cutting the clips on the timeline in portions. After cutting part of the clips i chose the blur tool to cover over the selected clip. this effect blurred the image which creates a similar effect to the fade out. However i decided not to use the blur tool as there was no necessary position for it and also when placing it over the end and start images it ruined the pen (anchor fade) effect.
